SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Attendees of the annual Illinois Department of Transportation conference got to hear a message from a famed athlete.
Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee
Jackie Joyner-Kersee, a native of East St. Louis spoke to IDOT employees about giving their best efforts and working hard as the conference's theme was "Today's Challenge, Tomorrow's Reward."
Joyner-Kersee is a six-time Olympic medalist and holds a world record in the heptathlon.
