DECATUR, Ill. (WAND)- Solar-powered smart benches will start popping up around town!
According to the City of Decatur the first solar-powered smart bench was installed at the Decatur Public Transit bus stop across from Target and Olive Garden in front of Grace Baptist Church, on Wednesday. And the second bench at the Walmart East bus stop.
The City says the benches are entirely grant funded and plans to purchase more for various bus stops.
