NEOGA, Ill. (WAND) - A 14-year-old boy was killed in an ATV accident in Neoga.
Emergency crews were called to the boy's family's property in the area of 793 County Road 325 East Monday.
Coles County Deputy Coroner Greg Epperson said Graydon Mendenhall was riding on an ATV for about an hour before he took a turn too fast, fell off the ATV, and the ATV landed on top of him.
The ATV was new to the family. Epperson said his stepfather and mother witnessed the crash.
Graydon was taken by ambulance to Sarah Bush Lincoln and was pronounced dead at 1:52 p.m. Monday.
