CHATHAM, Ill. (WAND) - The upcoming Chatham Strong Fest will help the community come together after a vehicle crashed into the YNOT After School Camp April 28, killing five children.

The festival will take place from 1-9 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Chatham Community Park.

"100% of the proceeds are going to the YNOT fund through the school student council at Chatham," Jason Dolby, who's organizing the event, said. "That's where the final deposit will go and all the funds are going straight there."

All donations will benefit families affected by the tragedy, including assistance with funeral and memorial services, medical expenses, long-term care, and essential needs and supplies.

Dolby made sure to note the donations will go to ten different families, including the five children killed and five more who were injured in the crash.

There will be live music, auctions, kids activities, food trucks and refreshments on hand for attendees.

"The response has been overwhelming," Dolby said. "It's going to be a music driven event with a large family and kids event zone. Lots of activities. Bag tournaments, food trucks, beverages, a foam zone, a memorial event service, and first responders will be acknowledged."

A 15-foot unity tree will also be planted in the park as a memorial to the children who died.

Additional information about the festival's live music lineup and how to donate is available online.
