Dunn to step down as Southern Illinois University president

CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) - Southern Illinois University says Randy Dunn is stepping down as the school's president. The school announced Friday that Dunn agreed to a voluntary separation and will be paid a six-month severance of $215,000. Dunn has been criticized over his handling of a proposal to shift $5.1 million in state funding from the school's Carbondale campus to the Edwardsville campus.
