First LSA student to get full athletic scholarship signs letter of intent Thursday

For the first time ever, a student at LSA High School in Decatur signs a letter of intent to play college basketball on a full ride.

Lutheran School Association senior Rachel McBride is going to play basketball at Judson University in the Chicago area.

She is the first LSA athlete going to a 4 year college with an athletic scholarship. She signed the letter of intent today at LSA. LSA Athletic Director Mark Burgener says Rachel's scholarship puts the school on the map as being a good place for students to get an education and play sports.
