Gas prices in Illinois see another increase

ILLINOIS - Gas prices across the state continue to rise this week, according to a survey from GasBuddy.com.

GasBuddy officials say the average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois has risen 14.5 cents in the past week, to $2.67.  Nationally, however, gas prices only increased by 2.4 cents per gallon, to $2.38.

Officials also say the average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois is still 35.1 cents lower than the same day a year ago.  A list of gas prices in Illinois on June 13, dating back to 2011, can be found below:

- 2015: $3.02

- 2014: $3.94

- 2013: $4.18

- 2012: $3.78

- 2011: $4.02
