Veteran receives much-needed dental surgery

DANVILLE – Two area hospitals are coming together for the HALO Project.  Halo project is then a partnership with with Colgate-Bright Smiles Bright Futures and Orland Park Dental Services.  On June 23rd and 24th children who don’t have access or cannot afford dental care will receive a free dental screening and a goodie bag with dental supplies for home care.

The Healthy Community Initiative Sponsored by Presence Health Foundation in conjunction with Presence United Samaritan Medical Center (PUSMC) are putting on the free event.

Kathy Richard, Director of HALO Project says “It is extremely important that children receive appropriate dental care and that they are taught how to properly take care of their teeth now in order to avoid the risk of disease later in life.”
