LITCHFIELD, Ill. (WAND) – State police say they do not believe human remains found near an Illinois lake are those of Denita Hedden.
A Thursday afternoon press conference revealed the update. State police say the search to find out who was discovered in Lake Lou Yaeger is ongoing.
Troopers say a utility worker found the remains on Wednesday evening while clearing brush from the area.
The remains are going to a crime lab for analysis. Troopers say there is no timetable at this point for results from those tests.
