Decatur -- Gas prices are falling, but for some, not low enough.

Some Decatur families will be unable to leave the area for the upcoming Forth of July Holiday.

Auto insurance agency, AAA, says high gas prices could keep roads a little emptier for the holiday weekend.

But even if it's more difficult for locals to get away, some Decatur residents say they will bite the bullet to keep their weekend fun.

"We go over to Fort Wayne, Indiana," said Decatur resident Cindy Blankenship. "We go out to Crooked Lake where we go swimming and watch all the fireworks, you know, at night, from the boat on the dock."

Gas prices don't really play into her decisions to hit the road, she said.

Experts say gas prices will be down by next weekend, which could help those hoping to make an affordable trip out of town.
