BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) - The piranhas at Miller Park Zoo are looking for a new home after their tank sprung a leak.
The 30-year-old aquarium sprung a leak, and the fish were safely transferred to another small aquarium in the Zookeeper kitchen.
The zoo posted to Facebook, "We are researching new habitat options, but in the meantime are searching for a large aquarium as the zoo does not have a spare of their original size. If anyone has, or knows of someone with, a 125–150-gallon aquarium that they would like to donate to the zoo for the piranha, it will provide the fish more space and complexity. Bonus points if there is a stand for support."
