TAYLORVILLE, IL- Taylorville Police have arrested a teen for allegedly breaking into a home and sexually assaulting a juvenile girl.
Police say they were called to a home in the 1300 block of West Main Cross Street around 1 a.m. this morning. Residents told police someone had broken in and attacked a girl who had been asleep.
Police arrested 18 year-old John Zini a short time later after a foot chase.
Zini faces home invasion, aggravated criminal sexual assault and resisting arrest charges.
The alleged victim was taken to Taylorville Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.
