MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - A woman is charged with repeatedly beating a child with a belt.
Sharell Middleton, 28, of Mattoon is charged with domestic battery.
She was arrested Friday night in the 1800 block of S. 9th St.
Police said she repeatedly struck a juvenile girl with a belt.
Middleton was taken to the Coles County Jail.
