The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will play Sept. 14 in the first game of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” schedule. Where that game will be played was not part of Tuesday morning’s announcement. The location has not been determined yet with the NFL still finalizing things ahead of Thursday night’s 2026 season schedule release. Another unknown is whether two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes will be available for that season opener after tearing the ACL and LCL in his left knee Dec. 14. The Cincinnati Bengals will play the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid on Nov. 8 as part of the NFL-record nine international games in 2026.
