Illinois House Republicans are calling for a special investigating committee to examine misconduct of Rep. Carol Ammons (D-Urbana) following news of a federal indictment for wire fraud and other charges. House GOP leaders said Ammons is facing serious allegations involving taxpayer dollars and public trust.
