A driver has plowed into pedestrians in Modena, Italy, injuring eight people. Four are in critical condition, according to the mayor. On Saturday, a woman was pinned against a shop window and required leg amputations. The driver, a 31-year-old man, was detained and questioned. Authorities are investigating whether he was under the influence or acted deliberately. Witnesses reported he held a knife but did not stab anyone. Emergency services responded, and the area was cordoned off. Victims were taken to hospitals in Modena and Bologna, some by helicopter.
