The fight over DNA in a Macon County courtroom in a decades old murder case is one step away from a ruling.

A man previously arrested in connection with the January 2025 shooting death of a Decatur teen has had his case dismissed, according to Macon County court records.

The battle over evidence continues in the reopened Karyn Hearn Slover murder case.
