Illinois House Democrats passed a proposal Thursday to help lower homeowner and auto insurance rates.

Many believe the federal program limits healthcare organizations and hospitals from providing discounted medications.

The Democrat is continuing a battle with State Farm after an insurance reform plan failed to pass out of the House last month.

Illinois state lawmakers worked into the overnight hours to pass a $1.5 billion transit spending and reform plan.

Gov. JB Pritzker told reporters in Springfield Thursday the Chicago transit bill is not dead, as there are still negotiations underway to try and get a funding and reform plan passed.
