Army ROTC cadets who subdued the gunman attacking their classroom at Virginia's Old Dominion University last month are recounting dramatic details publicly for the first time. In a video from the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, two cadets say they pulled out knives and stabbed Mohamed Bailor Jalloh after he shot an ROTC leader who grappled with him, Lt. Col. Brandon Shah. Cadets say Jalloh confirmed it was an ROTC group and shouted “Allahu akbar” before opening fire. Shah and Jalloh died. A cadet who stabbed the attacker was shot and wounded. He received the Purple Heart as one of several cadets awarded medals for their response.
