The Chicago White Sox have placed reliever Huáscar Brazobán on the 15-day injured list and recalled right-hander Jonathan Cannon from Triple-A Charlotte. Chicago also put outfielder Andrew Benintendi on the bereavement/family medical emergency list before its game against the Texas Rangers. Infielder/outfielder Rikuu Nishida was recalled from Charlotte. Brazobán has a left lat strain. The right-hander pitched one inning during Monday’s 11-2 loss to Texas, allowing one run and one hit. Brazobán was acquired in a trade with the New York Mets on Aug. 3.
