Brianna Turner: Fever fired a male employee for sexual harassment, players encouraged to keep quiet

Brianna Turner said on social media that her former team, the Indiana Fever, fired a male employee last season for sexual harassment. Turner, who was with Indiana last season but now plays for the Las Vegas Aces, also said Fever players were encouraged not to discuss the firing. Turner didn't provide details of the firing in her posts on X. The Fever put out a statement Thursday that didn’t directly address Turner’s comments but noted that the organization doesn't comment on personnel matters involving former employees.

Records show deputy charged in Sonya Massey's fatal shooting worked for 6 agencies in 4 years

A former sheriff’s deputy charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey inside her Illinois home had been employed by a half-dozen police agencies since 2020. State law enforcement records show Sean Grayson’s career included short stints as a part-time officer at three small police departments, full time at a fourth department and full time at two sheriff’s offices, all in central Illinois. Grayson, who is white, was indicted by a grand jury in the July 6 death of Massey, who is Black. Ben Crump, the family's attorney, said the Justice Department had opened an investigation into the incident, but the agency said in a statement that it is “assessing the circumstances” and following the criminal case.
