CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The #13 Illinois Fighting Illini look to run its winning streak to seven against the upset-minded Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday.
Illinois defeated rival Northwestern 79-68 on Wednesday. Star guard Keaton Wagler continued his stellar season as he contributed 22 points against the Wildcats. Minnesota is 10-7 on the season, including 3-3 in Big Ten play. The Golden Gophers fell apart in the second half of a heartbreaking 78-75 loss to Wisconsin Tuesday.
Illini coach Brad Underwood is 9-2 versus Minnesota, don't you know, including a 5-0 mark in Champaign, per Illinois Athletics.
