CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois men's team had a bigg win to open up the season Monday nights as they defeated Jackson state 113 to 55.
Still missing a few key guys to their rotation it is next guy up mentality.
They out rebounded the Tigers 61-19,lead by David Mirkovic with 14 rebounds.
David is also the first freshman since Kofi to record a double double in debute.
The men are back on the court Friday at the State Farm Center as the host Florida Golf Coast. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
