CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- We are just over a week away from Illinois first game of the season and the Illini getting in their last couple practices before kick off.

Atwood native Kaden Feagin played a key part last season but takes on a new challenge in 2026.

He was a third head to the beast that was Illinois' backfield previously but has transitioned nicely in the preseason to the role of tight end.

Feagin said while football is just football there have been some adjustments he's had to make to his game.
