St. Joseph-Ogden hands Monticello their first loss of the season

MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) -- A battle between the top two teams in the Illini Prairie Conference Monticello and St. Joseph Ogden happened in Monticello Wednesday afternoon. 

The Sages entered the game undefeated at 21-0 and the Spartans sitting at 20-1. 

St. Joseph-Ogden would hand Monticello their first loss of the season defeating the Sages 7-0 on the road. 

The Spartans sit atop the Illini Prairie Conference standings at 7-0 in conference play and the Sages are in second place with a 6-1 conference record.
