DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -- Millikin softball closes out the regular season this weekend with a three-game win streak on the line.

The Big Blue are in second place in the CCIW standings with a 9-3 conference record.

With the conference tournament starting next week, this weekend's games will determine what seeding Millikin gets for the tournament.

The team says setting the standards for this season early on and building an identity were key to their success under a new head coach.

The Big Blue are home this weekend for senior day Saturday when they host Wheaton College for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

Then close out the regular season Sunday against North Park with a doubleheader.
