DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Millikin softball team will begin the search for a new head coach after co-head coaches Katie Tenboer and Whitney Sowers both took jobs in athletics administration.
Tenboer is staying with Millikin, but is moving to the Associate Athletic Director position.
Sowers accepted the Athletic Director role at Marshalltown Community College in Iowa.
Tenboer has been the head coach at Millikin for ten years. Sowers served as an assistant coach for two seasons and moved to the co-head coaching job for eight seasons.
Tenboer and Sowers won multiple CCIW regular season and tournament titles. They had a 205-94 record across their eight seasons co-head coaching.
The team will now start looking for a new head coach before next season.
