DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Tuesday! The rain is spreading across Central Illinois this morning as moisture out of the south is providing fuel for these showers. Steady rain with some rumbles of thunder is expected through the morning. Temperatures will warm up into the mid to upper 40s.
Showers will taper off by midday, but another round of showers and storms will return this evening. These late showers will continue overnight into Tuesday morning. There will be another lull from the rain on Wednesday morning, but steady showers will return in the evening as temperatures warm up into the upper 50s.
Thursday will be drier with showers moving out for the morning. Some sunshine will emerge by Thursday afternoon as temperatures warm up into the 60s. Friday will follow a similar pattern, but even warmer temperatures in the 70s will emerge by the afternoon.
One final round of showers moves in for Saturday morning, but it should dry out again for the afternoon. Temperatures will be about 15 degrees above average in the 60s through the start of next week.
