CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois is announcing the recipients of its nonprofit capacity building grants.
“We are thrilled to work with generous people over the years who are passionate about our communities. The Community Foundation acts as hub of philanthropic activity and we are dedicated to growing philanthropy across our region, helping donors create meaningful impact through their giving,” said Allison Winter, CFECI President & CEO.
Of the 31 organizations that applied for funding this cycle, 12 organizations will be awarded capacity building grants totaling over $50,000 to strengthen their capacity as part of the Community Foundation’s vision of raising the quality of life in East Central Illinois.
“The Community Foundation is pleased to award grant funds as an investment in the effectiveness and future sustainability of nonprofits in our region,” Winter said. “These capacity building grants will strengthen the ability of our nonprofit partners to fulfill their missions over time, thereby enhancing their capacity to have a positive impact on lives and our community.”
Nonprofit capacity building grants will be awarded to the following organizations:
- Champaign County Children’s Advocacy Center
- Coles County Council on Aging
- Grand Prairie Friends Land Trust
- Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County
- Luella’s Lodge
- R.A.C.E.S.
- Recovery Happens
- The Land Connection
- The UP Center of Champaign County
- United Way of Danville Area
- Vermillion Heritage Foundation
- Willow Tree Mission
Funding can be used for leadership development, strategic planning, data and financial management, fundraising development, marketing strategy, salary analysis, diversity, equity and inclusion assessment and training.
