INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WAND)—Kroger is introducing its "Freshgiving" meal.
It is a holiday basket with all the turkey day staples for less than $4.85 a person, including pumpkin pie.
Kroger's Chairman and CEO, Rodney McMullen said, “At Kroger, we are incredibly thankful for our outstanding associates and for another year of serving our communities and feeding our neighbors in need. From life’s most joyous moments to a simple family dinner, we understand the important role food plays in connecting us, showing love and expressing gratitude. Bringing people together to experience this joy is at the heart of our Thanksgiving basket and Kroger’s everyday promise to be Fresh for Everyone.”
The meal includes the following: a 14-16 pounds Kroger brand whole frozen turkey, turkey stuffing, chicken broth, super sweet corn, baby carrots, whole berry cranberry sauce, sweet Jewel yams, Kroger brand Idaho potatoes, Campbell's turkey gravy, Kroger brand french sliced green beans, Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, Kroger crispy french-fried onions, brown and serve rolls, traditional ready-to-bake pie crusts, 100% pure canned pumpkin puree, and whipped topping.
The grocery business added that customers can look forward to more than $800 in savings, including hot weekly digital deals on items across the store, BOGOs, and four-time fuel points on gift card purchases for a limited time.
If you want to avoid spending time in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, Kroger offers Home Chef heat-and-eat Thanksgiving meals and sides. For $75, customers can get turkey or ham and six sides, which they say will serve four to six people. Their heat-and-eat sides include home-style stuffing, maple pecan mashed sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes. They also offer a larger option to serve six to twelve people for $105. To plan, click here to order.
