DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Although the summer season is winding down, the Decatur Park District still has plenty to offer in September.
One upcoming event is Zoorific Evening at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Scovill Zoo.
It is an adult-only event with food, drinks, silent and live auctions and plenty of animal encounters.
Ken Frye with the Decatur Park District said it's a good opportunity to hang out with zoo animals for the evening.
"It's a good time to get together and hang out with friends. All those funds really do come in handy for making the zoo a better place," Frye said.
