DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — According to an outage map from Ameren Illinois, nearly 1,700 customers were without power in Decatur mid-morning Tuesday.
The outage started a little after 11 a.m., and the cause has not been determined yet.
The Scovill Zoo reported on Facebook that the power was out at the zoo.
Earlier this month, the Macon County Health Department shared tips on how to keep food safe during a power outage. Most importantly, opening fridge and freezer doors during an outage should be avoided. See the post below for more tips.
