MT. ZION (WAND)- According to the Illinois Raptor Center, peacocks are on the loose in Mt. Zion.
The Raptor Center posted to Facebook on Tuesday, alerting Mt. Zion residents to be on the look out.
The IRC has permits to rehabilitate orphaned and injured native wildlife, and are hopeful the peacocks will be captured soon, so that they can give them a forever good life on a farm.
Over the past two years, several animals have been on the loose in Decatur or the surrounding areas.
