URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The Urbana Park District has received reports of pets getting ticks in its parks.
The Park District said on its website that staff members have put up additional signage warning about ticks.
The best way to prevent getting ticks is to stay on the pathways in the parks and not go off into the brush or other tall grasses.Â
Park visitors are urged to check themselves and their pets for ticks after visiting.Â
