Google announces carbon capture project with Broadwing Energy at ADM

Google is entering a carbon capture partnership with Broadwing Energy at ADM's facility in Decatur, according to an announcement by the tech giant.

Google will work with Broadwing Energy to build a power plant on ADM's Decatur campus. Google will buy the power for its Midwest data centers, 90% of the plant's CO2 emissions will be sent to ADM and then injected a mile underground for storage.Â
