DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Four people were taken to the hospital, including one with life-threatening injuries, after a crash in Decatur Wednesday morning.

The Decatur Police Department said it happened just before noon near the intersection of North Woodford and East Winnetka.

Police said a pickup truck made a right turn onto North Woodford Street, and at the same time, a car traveling down the road had to swerve to avoid it.

The car lost control and hit a utility pole.

Decatur police said the truck driver wasn't hurt.

The driver of the car and two passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth passenger, a 34-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

DPD's Fatal Accident Investigation Team was called to investigate.
