DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – A Decatur restaurant’s chef has died.
A Facebook post from the Beach House says Kenney Moffett passed away Monday morning. Restaurant leaders say he was dealing with a “brief illness” before his death.
His family was with him when he passed.
“His culinary talents, wisdom, wittiness, honesty and integrity will never be forgotten,” the post said. “He was the perfect example of a hard-working, respectable and valued family man. Everyone he met was in instant friend.
Further details about Moffett’s death have not been released.
