(WAND) - A dessert sold at ALDI stores is being recalled.

The manufacturer Lactalis Canada recalled more than 2,800 cases of the Specially Selected brand vanilla crème brûlée because they may contain fragments of glass, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The desserts are sold in an individual gas container.

The recalled desserts were sold in seven states: Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Maryland, New York and Virginia. A recall was announced by the manufacturer on April 14, two weeks before it was listed as Class II recall by the FDA.

A Class II recall is "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote."

The recalled desserts will show the following information:

  • Best Before/Use By Date: 5/9/2026
  • Product Number: 710298-4099100342826
  • Barcode: 4099100342826
