CASEY, Ill. (WAND) — A man who was reported missing near Casey about a week ago was found dead in his truck.
According to the Casey Police Department, Frank Mumford was found dead after being reported missing last week. Police said he was last seen on June 21.
"We extend our sincere condolences to Mr. Mumford's family and loved ones during this difficult time," the police department said in a Facebook post.
The Cumberland County Coroner's Office said he was found in a Cumberland County creek in his truck after flood waters receded. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Casey police said no more information will be released at this time out of respect for the family's privacy.
