DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Central Christian Church in Decatur hosted its 4th annual neighborhood picnic Saturday afternoon.
People were invited to stop by and enjoy live music, food, and fun activities. Organizers said the event is a good opportunity for the church to strengthen its relationship with the community every year.
"Relationships are really at the heart of life, and there's so much division in the world today, but relationships are the life blood of community, so we want to do what we can to bring people together," Central Christian Church Senior Pastor Michael Karunas said.
