DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Danville police are alerting the public of two suspects "actively" attempting to steal motor vehicles in the area.
The Danville Police Department said on Facebook Wednesday that the suspects are attempting to steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles, model years ranging from 2010 to 2022.
Danville police warn that the suspects are armed, have shot at those who have tried to intervene and are deemed "extremely dangerous."
Residents are warned not to confront the suspects.
Owners are urged to lock their vehicles, remove anything valuable from inside, use anti-theft devices if available, park in well-lit and secure areas and most importantly, stay alert.
