DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Seven people were arrested after police found 179 various shell casings in the front yard of a Decatur home on New Year's Eve. 

Decatur police told WAND News that officers found four firearms, including a machine gun. One of the weapons had its serial numbers damaged.

The shell casings were of varying calibers

DPD said they also found over 600 grams of cannabis.

Six of the seven suspects were booked in the Macon County Jail on a variety of weapons charges.

One of the suspects, a juvenile, was moved to the Peoria Juvenile Detention Center, according to Decatur police.
