LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) - The Saybrook man killed in a head-on crash near Lincoln has been identified.
Illinois State Police said the crash happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 66 near 1500th Avenue.
The man, identified by the Logan County Coroner's Office as 54-year-old Scott E. Baxter, was taken to Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
The other driver was taken to an area hospital. Their condition has not been released.
ISP stated the road was closed until 8:30 p.m.
