CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - One person was seriously injured after a shooting in Champaign Wednesday afternoon. 

The Champaign Police Department said it responded to a home just after 2:30 p.m. along Carver Drive for a reported shooting with injuries. 

Champaign police arrived to find someone shot with potentially life-threatening injuries. 

The victim was then taken to the hospital. Police added that the shooting happened in front of the home.
