DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Danville man has been sentenced for dealing drugs.
Curtis Lake pleaded guilty to possession of meth with intent to deliver on December 15.
He was given a sentence of 8 years in prison. He will also serve 18 month probation once he is released.
On February 2, an officer with the Danville Police Department tried to stop a man riding a bicycle who was acting suspiciously. The man tried to ride away but was caught.
Officers found he had 20 grams of meth on him which he admitted he was taking to another person.
Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said, “This sentence sends a clear message that drug trafficking has no place in our community. I would like to thank the Danville Police Department for their dedication to removing illegal drugs from our streets, and for their work with my office to hold criminals accountable.”
