Wild turkey crashes into semi's window in Effingham

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - A semi truck driver was injured after a wild turkey hit his windshield Friday morning. 

It happened in Effingham. The Effingham Fire Department shared photos of the crash. 

The driver sustained minor facial injuries. 

"We are grateful this incident wasn’t far worse — a collision like this at highway speeds can be extremely dangerous and unpredictable," the fire department posted to Facebook.
