DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Students are taking a significant step toward a brighter future. On Monday night, they celebrated their induction into the DPS Prep Academy.
Through a partnership between Decatur Public Schools and Richland Community College, selected students have the opportunity to earn both their high school diploma and an associate degree at no cost.
Program directors are enthusiastic about the many achievements students can attain through this opportunity.
To be accepted into the program, students must obtain a letter of recommendation, write a five-paragraph essay, and submit a copy of their eighth-grade report card from the first semester.
