DECATUR - High speed internet could make its way to Decatur, but some residents are not sure if it's a wise investment.

The city of Decatur could soon install a $700,000.00 high speed internet system.

A poll conducted by the Illinois Telecommunications Association shows 85% of registered voters in town would rather see the money put to other uses, like public safety and city streets.

The city council is expected to talk about high speed internet in a study session, next month.
