Springfield, Ill (WAND) – The Illinois State Fair is one week away and is being touted as family friendly and affordable for those on a tight budget.
“Every day of the Illinois State Fair kids 12 and under are free,” said State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “We have a $2 admission day. Seven of our eleven day run, adult admission is only $5.”
The fair runs August 7-17, 2025.
According to Kristi Jones, Deputy Ag Director, the fair generated $86 million in 2024 for the local and regional economy. Sales tax revenue totaled $2.6 million.
