SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - More money is on the way for the Springfield Police Department.
Springfield City Council voted Tuesday night to approve an IDOT grant for traffic enforcement, with the $56,000 covering officers' overtime.
Council also approved nearly $3 million covering an Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) grant.
